Exquisite Design

raw acanthus leather carved holsters

At Vigil-Musick Cowboy Leather Gear Ltd., we have created the heirloom Legacy Studio Collection. These are each unique and limited articles you will find no where else. This exquisite piece is a Commemorative "Buffalo Bill" Wm. F. Cody Friendship Holster set uniquely designed for a specific historic replica firearm pair of Colt pistols made by A. Uberti S.p.A., Italy.

This fully hand carved Colt leather holster rig features Roman acanthus carving on holsters and belt, real Silver plated furniture that is hand engraved by fellow cowboy artist silversmiths and fully lined belt and holsters.

-HISTORY & LEGACY OF THIS PIECE-

This unique Limited Edition twin holster set was custom designed by our company to fit a specific pistol built in 1858 called the "Colt 1858 Revolver- Army Model".  This replica set of two is perfected in every detail by A. Uberti, S.p.A. Italy.

The twin revolvers are Uberti factory commemorative pieces made in recognition of the famous western scout William F. Cody, known as "Buffalo Bill".  Buffalo Bill became recognized the world over for his creation of the "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show" a.k.a. "Rocky Mountain and Prairie Exhibition", in 1883 which toured the US, Canada and Europe until its conclusion in 1913, followed a few years later by his passing in 1917.

We at Vigil-Musick Cowboy Leather Gear wanted to continue the salute from Uberti, by designing this twin holster set for the commemorative pistols. The holster set and pistols not only commemorates the life and amazing contribution of Buffalo Bill to our remembrance of the old west, but also to consider his great and many friendships with his travelling cohorts and later cast. Buffalo Bill was known friends with many of the wests most famous which included Annie Oakley, Sitting Bull (Tatanka-Iyotanka) of the Lakota, "Wild Bill" Hickok, Bill Picket of the 101 Ranch and many many others. With this commemorative holster set we hope to remember the "friendship" as he brought many people from many nations and languages together, calling on his friends and cast to recreate the story of the American West for millions who had never been there.

To an ongoing friendship of people who continue to be bound by the American West.
